Let Go and Let God

let go and let God

“Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland. Isaiah 43:18-19

NIV

Following others may not get you far, but following God’s lead will get you to amazing places. He is always ready and waiting to lead you to the path of righteousness and to share the burdens you find too heavy to bear as you go along this path.

Extend your faith. Let go and let God lead your way into a brighter and less troubled day. Leave the past where it belongs. Don’t look back when you know you shouldn’t. If a door is closed, it’s because what was behind it wasn’t meant for you. Don’t dwell on closed doors, trust that God has better plans for you. Remember, the more you cling to the stories of your past, the more of the present moment you lose. So release your attachment and let life be.

In Isaiah 43:18‭-‬19 God commanded the Israelites to “Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.” We too can hold firm to this beautiful promise. We can choose to let go and follow God’s lead.

Prayer

Loving God, thank you for always being there to lead me to the path of righteousness. Lord, I am nothing without you. Please help me to let go of the things I should but struggle to. Open my eyes to see the ways that you are making for me. Heal me from the hurt and pain of my past and help me to embrace my present and future in you. Strengthen my faith and teach me to trust you without limits. Amen
