8 Powerful Bible Verses to Celebrate Father’s Day

As we honour Fathers today, we give thanks to our heavenly Father who, through his Son, showed us the ultimate example of a Father’s love. Children are a heritage from God and parents are God’s stewards to care for, nurture and be His earthly example. From Our Heavenly Father to our super-dads on earth, here are 8 powerful scriptures to salute Dad!

  1. and in the wilderness where you saw how the Lord your God carried you, as a man carries his son, in all the way that you went until you came to this place. Deuteronomy 1:31.

A Father’s Day Blessing

To Fathers, both biological and adopted, connected by blood and by experience and choice; to those who have been “the perfect father” and to those who may have regrets; to those who are close to their children, and to those who feel like they are a million miles away.  We bless you, on this Father’s Day.

To those who have been “fathers” to others who are not their children; we need more people like you. To those who have complicated, painful, or non-existent relationships with their children; to those who long to make things right with their children, God’s redemptive power can cross any boundary, any brokenness, any pain; to those who lost their fathers whether recently or many years ago,  we mourn with you today. For those of you who struggled to get out of bed this morning, because of the pain of this day, we love you and are encouraged by your faithfulness.

“The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make his face shine on you and be gracious to you; the Lord turn his face toward you and give you peace.” Number 6:24-26.
