‘But now hath God set the members every one of them in the body, as it hath pleaded him’. – 1 Corinthians 12:18
Do you question your place in the body of Christ? Have you ever thought that the spiritual gift you have is no big deal and not as honourable as a preacher, music minister or even a prophet? 1 Corinthians 12:18 reminds us that though our gifts might seem small or seemingly insignificant, “God hath set the members… as it hath pleased him”.
The next time this feeling arises, remember your gift is God-ordained and was strategically assigned to you because it pleased God.
Pray: Heavenly Father, thank you for the gifts that you have blessed me with. Forgive me for questioning the value of the gift and consequently the giver, You. Help me to honour you by using them in a way which brings glory to you. I pray that as I daily use my gifts, I will demonstrate your love and goodness to others. Where I am uncertain, show me how to use them as you intended. In Jesus’s name, Amen.
